The San Saba Commissioners’ Court met for a regular meeting on Monday, March 28th, in the Commissioners’ Courtroom. Judge Byron Theodosis called the meeting to order at 8:59 a.m. Commissioner Rickey Lusty gave the invocation and led everyone in the pledges to the American flag and Texas flag.

None. Special Action Items (and Non-Action Items):
1. Discuss and Approve or Reject Contract(s) For Subdivision Engineering and Review and Administrative Review Services:
Mr. Robinson explained that this would be at no cost to the County.
Decision: After some discussion, the Court voted unanimously to approve the Contract for Subdivision Review and Administrative Services.
2. Review and Possibly Accept Plat For Rocky Hollow Subdivision:
Mr. Robinson presented the item to the Court. Mr. Chad May, representing Rocky Hollow Developers, was present to give an overview of the plan.
Decision: After some discussion, the Court voted unanimously to accept the Plat for Rocky Hollow Subdivision.
3. Approve County Participation For TAC’s Cybersecurity Course Certified by DIR and Fulfills Annual Requirement By Law:
Ms. Kokernot explained to the Court that this happens yearly and is annual compliance. Ms. Hardy noted that employees will be notified via email. The Judge emphasized that this is very important.
Decision: The Court voted unanimously to approve County participation for TAC’s Cybersecurity Course.
4. Discuss and Take Possible Action Requiring All San Saba Precinct Drivers To Have CDL License. Possible Deadline Of June 28, 2022:
Decision: After some discussion, the Court voted unanimously on the Requirement that all San Saba precinct drivers have a CDL license with a compliance deadline of June 28, 2022.
5. Discuss and Take Possible Action To Make Adjustment For Inflation For County Employees:
Decision: After some discussion, this item was tabled.
6. Discuss and Take Possible Action To Increase Meal Allowance Per Day When Traveling On County Business:
Decision: This item was tabled.
7. Discuss and Take Possible Action On COVID-19:
Ms. Hardy informed the Court that only two people participated in the last Vaccine Clinic hosted by the County. One was there to receive their second shot, and the other was there for a booster shot. The previous month, there were just under 50 people who came for their first shot, and only one returned this month to get the second shot.
Ms. Hardy also noted that there is now a possibility of a second booster shot for older adults. She said there is currently no testing provided by the County, only at clinics in town.
All present were ready to take COVID-19 off the agenda as a recurring item.
8. Take Possible Action Con cerning Burn Ban (Current Status: Burn Ban IN EFFECT As of 02-14-2022; EXPIRES 05-15-2022):
Decision: This item was tabled.
9. Approve or Reject Proposed Amendments and/or Line Item Transfers:
Judge Theodosis read three line item transfers that were previously submitted by Ms. VanBeck.
Decision: The Court voted unanimously to approve the three Line Item Transfers.
10. Approve or Reject Proposed Accounts Payable:
Decision: The Court approved the Proposed Accounts Payable.
11. Discuss Next Commissioners Court Date & Time:
The next Commissioners’ Court meeting will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom.
