San Saba Elementary gives back

Once again the students at San Saba Elementary had an amazing year with the Kids Heart Challenge (KHC) sponsored by the American Heart Association. Students in Pre K4 through the 4th grade teamed up and surpassed the school goal of $6,000 by totaling up $7,755.56 in donations. An additional challenge was made for those that brought in at least $100 to help duct tape our principal, Dr. Deckard, to the wall! During this time, one of our 4th grade students, Pason King, was presented a medal and certificate for being recognized as the top student of the entire school. This is the third time that Pason earned this award with each time his donations being over $1,000! Thank you to all who helped make a difference, no matter how big or small! By participating in the KHC, the students gain an understanding of how important it is to help others with special heart conditions, as well as taking good care of their own health. A big thank you to all the students for being such great heart heroes! We look forward to doing the KHC again next year!!
