Diamondback Jubilee and Rodeo, March 25th and 26th

Kalli McCoy

Kalli was raised in Goldthwaite and has grown up in the sport of rodeo. She is the daughter of Russell and Kristi McCoy and is a freshman in Goldthwaite High School, where she is top of her class. Kalli participates in barrels, poles, goat tying, flag racing and is starting breakaway roping. She is a member of the AJRA and Texas High School Rodeo Association. She plays basketball, softball, and participates in track and field events. Kalli lettered in the Area Marching Band Contest as a Golden Eagle Band feature twirler. She is president of her class, involved in FFA and in Career and Leadership Development Events. In her spare time, Kalli enjoys baking and cooking for family and friends, twirling her baton and working her horses. She enjoys participating in fund raising for the Ranch Rodeo and other community causes. As a Miss Diamondback Jubilee Rodeo Queen, Kalli wants to inspire other girls to work hard and follow their dreams!

Jara Wootton

Jara, a Junior at Goldthwaite High School is active in FFA, FCCLA, FCA as well as owning her own business, Double J Sweets. Jara has been competing in playdays, rodeos, and working on the ranch since she was old enough to sit up. She is a member of the Fanta C Corral mounted drill team and has competed at AASP & RC Playday Finals, CTBRA, State FFA rodeo, San Antonio Youth rodeo, and numerous Tommy Green Junior Rodeos. Jara currently serves as the Vice President and Senior sweetheart of the Lone Start Riding Club. She is an active member of the Church of Christ youth group serving as a Bible class teacher and Leadership Training for Christ participant. Jara is the 17-year-old daughter of Brian and Jennifer Walzel. She will earn Associates of Arts degree from Ranger College later this year and then plans to continue on to Weatherford College to participate on the rodeo team and earn her Physical Therapy Assistant Degree to pursue her dream of becoming a hippotherapist.

Britni Roberts

Britni is a Junior at Goldwaite High School. Britni is very active in extracurricular activities including basketball, softball, cheer, FFA, National Honor Society, and currently serves as an officer on both the GHS Student Council and FFA Chapter. She is also a member of the Church of Christ youth group. She began competing in rodeos at an early age where she participated in all events, even calf riding when needed for that all around buckle. As she has gotten older, Britni has focused on calf roping. Britni enjoys competing at junior rodeos and has been a member of the Texas Junior Rodeo Association (TJRA) and the Central Texas Youth Rodeo Association (CTYRA). Britni has recently qualified for the finals in both breakaway and ribbon roping with CTYRA. Britni is the daughter of Britton and Keri Roberts of Goldthwaite.

Harper Reata Evans

My name is Harper Reata Evans, and I am a fourth grade student at Goldthwaite Elementary School. I am originally from Lometa but now live in Goldthwaite, Texas. My goals are to become a professional barrel racer and breakaway roper. I am on the A/B honor roll. I am ranked in the top 15 of the youth division at Region III High School Rodeo. I love to spend my free time making Tik Toks and competing in youth rodeos.

Peyton Head

Peyton Head is the daughter of Derrick and Jessica Head and proudly resides in Center City, Texas. She attends 2nd grade at Goldthwaite Elementary where she shows sheep and rabbits with 4-H, plays basketball and softball, cheers and competes in rodeo. She enjoys helping her dad work cattle, reading, spending time with her family, and helping at their family hardware store that has been in business since 1946. Peyton loves animals and hopes to be a veterinarian when she grows up.

Mesa Jade Hammond

Mesa Jade Hammond, 7 years old, from Lampasas, is so excited to have the opportunity to represent the Lometa Lion’s Club and the Diamondback Jubilee Rodeo Jubilee as Rodeo Princess! She works extremely hard each and every day, in school, with riding and barrel racing and with helping her parents on the ranch. She is a dedicated horsewoman, and knows what this role entails throughout this next year, if she is chosen to fill this important position. She has a strong work ethic and truly cares about each and every person that crosses her path. Thank you for the opportunity to represent Lometa and these wonderful organizations!

Allie Rein Urich

Allie, is the 9 year old daughter of Christopher and Jennifer Urich and Granddaughter of Mike and Cindy Urich (both previous Lometa Residents). Allie resides in Georgetown and is in the 3rd Grade at Florence Elementary maintaining A-B Honor roll. This genuine “cowgirl at heart” started riding horses when she was three years old. She competes in rodeos and Playdays throughout the state of Texas. She is always willing to lend a helpful hand whether she is at team ropings with her father or sortings with her mother. Allie prefers the barn life feeding horses, cows, goats or chickens. She rides daily and works on her horsemanship and attends Lessons and Camps at Windsong Farm and Arena. Allie plans on being a large animal Vet.

These are the four candidates for the Miss Diamondback Jubilee Rodeo Princess contest. The Princess will be crowned during the rodeo Saturday night, March 26th. The winner will receive a belt buckle, sash and a gift certificate.
