Yesterday I sent my column to The News office for the January 6th edition. I am sending my column for the January 13th edtion this week also because I will be in San Saba Thursday, January 6th and back to Ohio Monday, January 10th. It will be great seeing friends, covering the Hunting with Soldiers for The News, going to church and taking care of Real Estate business.
In my Daily Journal this morning the topic was 'being devoted'. The dictionary listed devoted as: 1. dedicated, 2. very loyal; faithful. The question was who and what are you devoted to? So, I believe that God wants me producing the fruits of the Holy Spirit and be devoted to work, family, church and etc.
In the mail today I got a letter from Capital One reporting that they had sent information to the DOMV in Newark, Ohio for my car title state change but they had not received the new paperwork. I called the BOMV in Newark, Ohio and sure enough it was there and not processed. So, I am going to Newark tomorrow and get the paperwork finalized for Ohio license plates after starting this transaction in August and my Texas plates expired November 30th. The application explained that this transaction should take place within 30 days to Ohio residency. HA!
There were only three clasmates at Scotties Den in Dresden (12 minute drive for me) for lunch today. After lunch I stopped by my sister-in-law's home for a visit. I got home in time to grab my bible and went to the Condo Bible study in the Community Bldg. across the street from where I live.
When I was at the Scotties Den two women stopped after they ate and talked to me. One of the women remembered being in the Junior Choir I directed when I was a teenager and the other woman was Becky Slate, my sister Betty's niece, and we talked about when I baby sat her and two brothers. Ahh, such great memories. I am realizing that being dedicated, loyal and faithful even as a teenager produces fruits of the Holy Spirit. GLORY!
