Wesley Lackey, senior at San Saba High School, was recently named to the 2021 3rd Team Roster of Abilene-based All-Big Country Team Preps. Wesley is the son of Jake and Lisa Lackey of San Saba.
At 5'-11" and 160 lbs. and by the time Wesley's senior year had ended, he had played most of the positions on the field. He definitely proved to be productive at just about anything he did.
In 2021, Wesley closed with 62 total tackles, 26 solos, and 36 assists. He added five tackles for loss, one sack, three quarterback hurries, and six pass breakups to go with three forced fumbles and three picks.
Wesley wasn't so "back offensively" either, with 645 yards receiving and six scores, along with 373 rushing yards and an additional three touchdowns.
