The San Saba SWCD#250 held their annual Farm Safety Day for the kids in the 5th and 6th grades of all our San Saba County schools.
It was held on October 12th this year. The day is always a great success and so important for not only the kids that get to see these safety lessons, but for the adults to always have a refresher on what to do in an unsafe situation on the farm.
The mission of the Progressive Agriculture Safety Days is simple – to provide education, training and resources to make farm, ranch and rural life safer and healthier for children and their communities.
Much appreciation and acknowledgement go to those volunteers and organizations who supported and backed this special event.
