The Never Surrender Cancer Foundation of San Saba County is getting ready to gear up for its major fundraiser on Saturday, October 30th. Because of the pandemic, this will be the first fundraiser in three years so your support would be greatly appreciated. There are numerous cancer patients being assisted by the Foundation at this time and funds are depleting fast.
After an evening of trick or treating with the kids, come enjoy the Foundation's Casino Night & Dance. There will be a snack bar open at 8 pm and the Casino will open at 8:30.
The Casino will consist of Blackjack, Texas Hold ‘em, Roulette, Craps, and Slot Machines. Mark Scott and the Southern Comfort Band will provide the music for the dance.
So, come out and join in the fun. Even if you don’t gamble, music and dancing will be available - all while supporting a great cause. Great businesses and sponsors provided awe some door prizes and auction items.
Tickets may be purchased at Commercial National Bank and Alamo Pecan. Tickets are $30 at the door and include a $5000 chip to play or save for the chance to win door prizes at the end of the night. Don't forget to save some money to bid and purchase fantastic auction items. You may bring your own alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks, but no glass containers, please.
Never Surrender Cancer Foundation was founded when we saw a need in our community to help local cancer patients while they are seeking treatment for cancer. Without cancer treatment facilities in our rural community, each patient has to travel out of town to seek treatment. Never Surrender assists with travel expenses related to cancer treatments (fuel, meals and lodging) as needed, because most insurance companies don’t cover those expenses. Travel and lodging expenses can be devastating to an already strained cancer patient's finances.
We formed our 501(c)(3) non-profit early in 2015 and began our fundraising efforts. In June of that year, we were able to help our first cancer patient and have been going strong since. Come out and support our Foundation and help us to NEVER SURRENDER!
