Lightning set fire to a home Saturday afternoon during a thunderstorm. Local firemen said they believed the lightning ran into the house on the electrical wiring or the TV cable. The fire appeared to have started at the TV set, they said. The fire smoldered for some time, apparently, before it made sufficient smoke for neighbors to see it coming from the house and turn in the fire alarm. The homeowner was away at the time and firemen said that was her good fortune for she might have been killed had she been inside her home. Firemen saved the house from a complete loss, but it is charred and smoked inside. Smoke and water appeared to ruin the contents that did not burn, firemen said. The home had just recently been redecorated inside.
