The San Saba Commissioners’ Court met for a regular meeting on Tuesday, June 15th, in the Commissioners’ Courtroom. Judge Byron Theodosis called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Commissioner Kenley Kroll gave the invocation and led everyone in the pledges to the American flag and the Texas flag.

Ms. Wells stated her office is still staying busy.

Ms. Blossman provided the following account information for the month of May 2021:

Decision: The Court unanimously approved the JP Report Subject to Audit.

The jail total was 275 with an average of 8.87 days.
Sheriff Jenkins reported that Kyle Niazer resigned.

1. Discuss and Take Possible Action on County Insurance Renewal Presented by Rick Baskin:
Insurance rates for the County have increased to 13%, or amounts to about $68K/year.
Decision: The Court voted unanimously to approve the renewal of the County's insurance as administered by Baskin Insurance Agency.
2. Accept or Reject Backhoe Purchase for $43,000 From Cisco Equipment for Pct. 1:
Decision: The Court voted unanimously to accept the backhoe purchase for $43,000 from Cisco Equipment for Precinct 1.
3. Discuss and Take Possible Action on COVID-19:
Ms. Hardy stated that approximately one-third of the county-wide population has been vaccinated.
Decision: No action required at this time.
4. Take Possible Action Concerning Burn Ban (Current Status: Burn Ban LIFTED As of 01-04-2021):
Decision: This item was tabled.
5. Approve or Reject Proposed Amendments and/or Line Item Transfers:
Ms. VanBeck presented three Line Item Transfers – one each for the Library, roads, and the bridge.
Decision: The Court unanimously approved the three Line Item Transfers.
