On Thursday May 20th 2021, the San Saba Rotary Club honored all of the Honor Students of our County with the 39th Annual Rotary Honor Student Banquet at the Civic Center in San Saba. The Rotary Club provided a delicious meal catered by Pepperbellies of San Saba and was served by the Rotarians.
The Rotary Club then called each honor student by name, and they were presented with a medallion with their name and the year on it. The students who have been an Honor Student for the all four years of High School were also presented with a Shadow Box for their medallions. Our Rotary Club then
Our Rotary Club then awarded ten Students with $1000 scholarships. These students must be an Honor Student all four years of High School.

Our program consisted of four past Honor Students from various years each one speaking to us. They were Melinda Walker, Kevin Shahan, Dani Gilcrease, and Kristen Haug. We also awarded Jacqueline Carlson the Rotarian of the Year Award and to Napolies Italian Restaurant the Four Way Test Award. We were also honored to have Kristy Vanderberg who is the District Governor Elect give us the Rotary Minute.
