San Saba County was one of several counties in Texas to be selected by Connected Nation – Texas to receive a broadband assessment and plan paid by the Texas Rural Funders. However, Connected Nation cannot do it alone; that is why we need YOUR participation with the broadband assessment. We need all residents of San Saba County to go to the following link https://www.myconnectedcommunity.org/san-saba-county/ and fill out not only the household assessment, but also any assessment that meets your place of business, or a position that you might hold in the community. The more data we collect, the better we will be able to put together an accurate plan to expand broadband in our community.
San Saba County is a close-knit county where we are proud to help each other and support one another. While some parts of the county are fortunate enough to have good quality internet, others do not have basic access. And for some who have physical access to internet, the cost might be too high to justify. This information is good to know so that we do not duplicate services where they exist, and the County can decide as a community how to proceed forward.
This project, like any that impacts our community, needs your valuable input.
