Rotary Club's recent speaker is prestigious leader of Rotary Foundation Programs

Our Program Speaker this week was Jerry Hardy. He is now serving his third year leading Rotary Foundation programs for our South-Central Texas district.

Jerry reminds us that our Foundation helps us to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. Background: At district level, he served as District Governor in 2013-2014, previously led the district grants program and Rotaract and Interact committees. He did four tours as an Assistant Governor and Foundation training roles at Lone Star PETS, Multi District Training and Rotary Leadership Institute. He’s been a member of the Rotary Club of San Antonio West for nearly 30 years. A long-time contributor to our Rotary Foundation, he is a Major Donor, Bequest Society member, Benefactor and Paul Harris Society member. Current highlights: A successful Million Dollar Dinner in January 2020 for The Rotary Foundation and encouraging every Rotarian this 2020-2021 year to contribute to the Foundation and help earn their club a 100% participation banner.

We also welcomed Jason Phillips back to our club. He will be a great addition to our club and has expressed his desire to serve.

We were presented two banners for club donations to the Rotary Foundation. Also, we learned that our own Bill Phillpotts has been nominated for a prestigious award that we will talk more about next year.

We would like to take this opportunity to Wish One and All A Very Merry Christmas and A Very Happy New Year.
