Message from Dr. Craig Whiting:
There has been a continued increase in cases in our County much as in the rest of the State. There is hope of help from vaccines; the news of the safety and effectiveness of some of the vaccines in development has been very promising. The availability of a vaccine is the question now. It is likely that we won’t see significant quantity of any vaccine until next summer or fall. The basic hygiene measures, that we’re all so tired of hearing about (mask, hand-washing, social distance . ..), are the best weapons we have to forestall the need to again close businesses down that may arise if the number of cases continues to increase so rapidly.
