During this time of COVID, San Saba has seen a great increase in the residents and visitors frequently visiting our City Parks. And along with these residents/visitors, come our furry family members.
Pet ownership in most US cities is on the rise. With this steady rise, the need for pet waste management grows.
Put both situations together, and well, you got the picture. Therefore, before such situations can become a problem in our community, and with the donation from Central Texas Council of Governments (CT-COG), KSSB is introducing pet waste stations to each of our city parks: Mill Pond Park, San Saba River Nature Park, and Risien Park.
KSSB asks the public to participate and support the cause. The installation and maintaining of these stations may encourage pet owners to pick up after their hairy companions. While some may fail to do so, KSSB hopes that all understand the importance of picking up after their pets.“Pet friendly” parks will continue to attract residents and visitors and keep our town a cleaner, greener, more beautiful community.
