On Wednesday, May 27th, several San Saba Fellowship of Christian Athletes received the title of All-Stars and were presented with SWAGs. Kurt Newton, Brownwood Area FCA Representative, presented the students with this special honor.

Distinguished FCA All-Stars are listed below:

• Kylee Eckerman - Basketball

• Abel Martinez - Basketball

• Alexa Brockman - Cheer

• Grace Reed - Cheer

• Jillian Whitman - Cheer

• Cole Bryant - Football

• Eli Salinas - Football

• Jett Hibler - Football

According to Mr. Newton, the selection process for FCA All-Stars starts with the FCA first selecting coaches for the All-Star game for each different sport: football, volleyball, basketball, softball, baseball and golf. Then, the coaches nominate the studentathletes and draft their teams.

Newton also stated the All-Star games are "fun, but the important part of the event is the opportunity for the FCA to minister to the students during the three days prior to the game. The students are selected for their athletic ability and character, but we tell the coaches, pick a kid who needs what we have to offer. Every year many students do respond to the FCA message," Newton said.

All-Star games were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic; thus, the ability to reach the students in ministry was lost this year. However, everyone is so proud of these San Saba Armadillo students who persevered through these difficult times and overcame adversity, rose above and stayed strong. . . as FCA All-Stars!
