County Commissioners' Court holds regular meeting April 27th

The San Saba County Commissioners’ Court held a regular meeting on Monday, April 27th, via Zoom platform in the County Judge’s Chambers. Judge Byron Theodosis called the meeting to order at 9:09 a.m. and welcomed those joining by way of phones or computers.

Commissioner Rickey Lusty gave the invocation via computer.

Special Action Items (and Non-Action Items):

1. Discuss and Take Possible Action On Available Funds for the County Transportation Infrastructure Funds Grant Program for Transportation Infrastructure Projects Located In Areas of the State Affected By Increased Oil and Gas Production:

Decision: After discussion by Commissioners, no action was taken.

2. Discuss and Take Possible Action On County Road Repair Grants In Reference to Changes in the Transportation Infrastructure Fund Program For 2020:

Decision: After discussion by Commissioners, no action was taken.

3. Discuss and Take Possible Action on COVID-19 Issues:

Decision: Marsha Hardy, County Emergency Management Coordinator, reported that a Mobile Unit came to San Saba last Thursday, April 23rd, and tested seven (7) people.

After discussion, it was decided that another testing is important. Ms. Hardy will schedule it and arrange it so that people can get the information on social media.

4. Discuss and Take Possible Action on EMS Issues:

Decision: The Court discussed the EMS Issues with LifeGuard Representative, Joshua Chapman, and Hamilton Representative, Patrick Cobb. The Emergency Service with LifeGuard for the County will end July 31, 2020, and a decision will need to be made as soon as possible for this service.

5. Take Possible Action Concerning Burn Ban (Current Status: Enacted As Of 01-21-2020):

Decision: After discussion by the Court, this item was tabled.

6. Approve or Reject Proposed Amendments and/or Line Item Transfers:

Decision: County Treasurer, Lois Van Beck, reported there are no Proposed Amendments nor Line Item Transfers.

7. Approve or Reject Proposed Accounts Payable:

Decision: Commissioner Otis Judkins verified the Accounts Payables and motioned for them to be paid. The Court unanimously approved this motion for all bills to be paid.

8. Discuss Next Commissioners' Court Date & Time:

Decision: The next Commissioners' Court will be held Monday, May 4, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.

9. Adjourn: Judge Theodosis adjourned the Commissioners' Court at approximately 9:39 a.m.
