In football news, our junior high Indians played at home against Lohn. They won early in the 3rd quarter with a score of 45-0. The varsity team traveled to Lohn and also won with a score of 58-12. Cherokee Flag football wrapped up their season on Saturday with a big win over Mason! They have had such a wonderful learning season with so much growth. We are very proud of these kiddos and are looking forward to next year!
At the district cross country meet, we were well represented. For the junior high boys, Bentley Morris placed 2nd. For varsity girls, Hannah Sims placed 18th. For varsity boys, Kam Holt placed 14th and Weston Woolsey placed 9th. Weston has also qualified for regionals. Good luck, Weston!
Last week, we held our first Elementary Showcase. This is essentially like open house where parents could be escorted through the halls by their student. It is an opportunity for them to see what their children have been working on throughout the school year. We would love to see more attendance in the spring at our second Elementary Showcase!
We hope everyone has a great week ahead!
