Republican Party Update: Nate Sheets Visit

As we approach our General Election in November, San Saba County voters will, if you haven't already, notice an increase in advertisements, phone calls, fund raising requests, and mailers in your mail box from a variety of candidates, at various levels of government. What we don't usually see here in San Saba County are major party candidates from outside the county, coming to visit. That is why we have very exciting news: Republican candidate for Agriculture Commissioner, Nate Sheets, will visit San Saba on Friday, October 9th, from 4-6 p.m. His business background reads like this from his website: '…in the early 1990s, he ran a small advertising agency in Dallas. But his life changed when he bought a single beehive as a hobby and began bottling honey with his wife Patty in their garage. That humble beginning became North Dallas Honey Company, and then later Nature Nate’s…By 2015, Nature Nate’s was the #1 branded honey in America, sold nationwide in major retailers like Walmart, Costco, and Kroger. In 2021, Nate sold Nature Nate’s to Blue Road Capital and served as CEO until he resigned to pursue serving all Texans as the next Texas Agriculture Commissioner.'

Additionally, as a follower of Jesus Christ, Nate has worked full-time as Communications Director for Global Missions Fellowship, which later became E3 Partners, promoting evangelism world- wide. In 2008, Nate also created 'I Am Second', a video testimony movement illustrating how Jesus has transformed people's lives. Nate currently owns the 10,000 acre Honey Rock Ranch in West Texas where he works a cow/ calf operation, raises wildlife, and trains cutting horses. If you would like to talk to Nate about how he, as Ag Commissioner, intends to weigh in on the 765kV transmission lines that are planned to run through San Saba County agriculture areas, how data centers are impacting agriculture lands and the plan to deal with them, how to revitalize the Texas cattle industry and help Texas cattlemen overcome increased costs and possible lenient beef import policies, the New World Screwworm impacts, support for education programs involving Ag trades in high schools, FFA, 4H and Junior livestock shows, or other areas of interest, please plan to attend at the District Courtroom, 3rd floor of the County Courthouse on October 9th.
