The following statement may be attributed to Texas Farm Bureau President Russell Boening following today's failure by the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry to advance the Senate farm bill.
“ Texas Farm Bureau is very disappointed the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry failed to advance Chairman Boozman's 'Agriculture Act of 2026' today.
“Chairman Boozman and his team worked in good faith to build bipartisan support for a new farm bill. The committee's failure to act is a major setback in passing a modern farm bill this Congress leaves Texas farm and ranch families held hostage to political theater.
“Agriculture cannot afford more delays.'
