The very first Fredericksburg Summer Music Institute kicks off Tuesday evening, June 23, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. with Trio Aurora in St. Joseph’s Halle. It is the first of five nightly free concerts offered by Fredericksburg Community Orchestra Executive Director Theresa Britt.
Trio Aurora consists of Angelo State University’s Dr. Fagner Roch, Associate Professor of Music and Director of Orchestral Activities; Dr. Daria Miskiewicz, Assistant Professor of Low Strings; and Dr. Eun Mi Lee, Staff Pianist.
Joining them on the first-night program are Institute Faculty members Fiona Shea, violinist pursuing her doctorate at Rice University; Dr. Stephanie Westney, Violin Professor of Instruction at The University of Texas at San Antonio; Dr. Jennifer Clark, adjunct professor of viola, violin, and strings at Schreiner University; and Dr. Mark Morton, and internationally recognized double bass soloist.

• June 26–Chamber Music, Rockbox Theater June 27–Summer Music in the Hills Symphonic Concert finale, St. Joseph’s Halle All concerts begin at 7 p.m. St. Joseph’s Halle is located at 212 W. San Antonio; Rockbox Theater is located at 109 N. Llano St., both in Fredericksburg, Texas. Free street parking is available at both locations.
