Ranked #5 in USA TODAY’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards in 2025 for Best Oktoberfest in the U.S., this beloved festival brings the spirit of Germany to Fredericksburg in a big way.
Among the most popular events and adding more excitement over the course of the weekend are Friday’s OkTubaFest, meet-the-makers with the Shiner (Spoetzl Brewery) Brewmaster and Altstadt Waltz Contest. Saturday’s events include the family-favorite Hauptstrasse Chicken Dance, Samuel Adams Stein Hoist, Weihenstephan Polka Contest, and Altstadt Keg Tapping.
