The Museum’s board of directors is excited to share that Curt Locklear is making a return appearance at our Annual Membership meeting to present another slice of Texas History: “General Ben McCulloch, Texas Hero who led a Life of Irony.” With his usual flair he will enliven his presentation with songs, stories, and humor using his banjo and guitar.
Born in the San Saba Hospital and a dyed-in-the-wool total Texan, Curt is a historian and an accomplished and award-winning author of six novels, (a seventh book comes out in July) numerous short stories, and a good number of song compositions. Copies of his books will be available for sale after his presentation on June 7th, at The Father's House Fellowship Hall.
This opportunity to hear Mr. Locklear is open to the whole community and free. There will be refreshments and visiting beginning at 1:30 and a short business meeting at 2:00 followed by Curt’s presentation.
The location is The Father’s House Fellowship Hall, 704 E. Commerce Street.
