Sandra Dean, Nancy Shook, and Kathryn McDowell, members of the San Saba Distaff Club, went to work on painting playground equipment at Mill Pond Park as part of their project to improve the facilities.
Johnny McPherson is home from working in Alaska and he and his family visited over the weekend with Rosemary McPherson and David, Johnny, Vivian and Christi Kay are now vacationing and sightseeing along the coast of Florida.
The San Saba Chamber of Commerce in a co-sponsorship with KBAL Radio had an estimated 200 children participate in the Annual Easter egg hunt held May 1. The hunt had been delayed a week because of rain.
Rafie Romero sends the ball back across the court in a practice session prior to the boys regional test at Brenham. Romero qualified for the singles division in District competition. He made it to the semi-finals before losing to the eventual Regional Champion.
The Cherokee Indians Booster Club recently got out their paint brushes and made some very proud additions to a sign which was erected after Cherokee won their first State Championship in 1973. They added the year 1975 and also decided to let everyone know they were the 'Runner Up' for the year 1974.

Miss Nancy Jane Baker is among the more than 300 University of Texas business students who are candidates for Bachelor of Business Administration degrees a the June Commencement. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Baker Jr.
The Coca Cola team defeated the Jaycees and the Rangers to win the playoff and the championship in the men's division of the San Saba Volleyball League, while the Rangerettes took the women's division.
Bro. Jim Roquemore was a guest in the Owen White home. Mrs. Roquemore was unable to come out because of extra studies in preparation for her graduation soon.
Hugh Henry of Austin and Emmett Jones of Jonesville, both San Saba natives, came to attend the 110th birthday celebration of San Saba county, sponsored by San Saba County Historical Survey Committee.
If you haven't noticed the many roses blooming at the present time, you have missed a beautiful sight. There are so many in bloom that our could well be named 'The City of Roses' at this season. The many flowers and shrubs in bloom add cheerfulness to all of us.
