Join the Greatest American Cleanup challenge, help Keep America Beautiful reach 25 billion pieces of litter by July 4.
Keep San Saba Beautiful (KSSB) gives you that opportunity. The GAC/DMWT Trash off City-wide cleanup is scheduled for April 18, from 8 a.m. to noon. Partnered with the City of San Saba, KSSB’s cleanup headquarters will be setup at the County Courthouse, dispatching volunteers to public places, parks, neighborhoods, and along the highway to gather litter. Free supplies are available to assist with your cleanup. Snacks/lunch sponsored by Atmos Energy will be served to all volunteers.
Come solo or with a whole crew, every action counts.
In celebration of our great country’s birthday, a few toy gifts will be raffled amongst the volunteers, so the more you do, the more chances to win. Rules will be explained at the KSSB cleanup headquarters, so bring more volunteers and be ready to pickup lots of bags of trash.
Other opportunities to join in are by cleaning on your own, sign-up and then go out on your own, clean your neighborhood, an area you identify needs cleaning, or your residence. Submit before and after photos of cleaned area for a chance to win a prize. The before (March 1, 2026 or after) and after (April 18, 2026) photos must have been taken by noted dates.
A plastic bottle challenge in conjunction with the cleanup is another opportunity to win a prize, but you must participate in the cleanup to be eligible for the raffle prizes.
