SSHS National Honor Society Scholarships

San Saba High School seniors Jefferson Stencil and Caitlin Mays have been named semifinalists in the National Honor Society (NHS) Scholarship program, each receiving a $3,200 award in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement, leadership, service, and character.

Both students are active leaders in their school's NHS chapter. Caitlin Mays serves as President for the 2025–2026 school year, where she has led initiatives such as the Mentoring Committee, organizing weekly reading sessions with elementary students to promote literacy and positive role modeling. Jefferson Stencil, serving as Vice President, heads the Community Service Committee, expanding volunteer opportunities and building stronger ties with local organizations like the Rotary Club.
