To my friends, neighbors, and the community that has shaped my life, My name is Kristina Lively, and I’d like to share a little about who I am—not just as a candidate for County Treasurer, but as someone who has deep roots in this county and a genuine love for the people who call it home. I was raised by my parents, Robert and Kathy Carroll, who taught me the importance of honesty, hard work, and treating others with respect. Growing up with my two brothers, Harley and Jason Bench, I learned early on that community is more than a place—it’s a family.
I’ve lived in this county for most of my life. I spent seven years in West Texas, but like many who leave for a time, I eventually found my way back. There’s something special about this place—the familiar faces, the shared history, and the sense of belonging—that makes it home in a way no other place can. I attended San Saba ISD and later earned degrees in Human Resource Management and Accounting from the University of Phoenix, building a strong foundation for the work I do today.
Since 2023, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside our current County Treasurer. That experience has given me a firsthand understanding of the responsibilities and challenges of the office, as well as the importance of accuracy, transparency, and trust when managing public funds.
Outside of work, my greatest joy comes from being a mom. I’m blessed with two daughters, Jayliegh and Reese, who inspire me every day. Whether we’re spending time with family or enjoying simple moments together, they remind me why stability, community, and good stewardship matter so much.
I’m running for County Treasurer because I believe in serving the community that raised me. I’m committed to transparency, accountability, and ensuring every resident feels confident in how their tax dollars are managed.
