Last week our Indian football teams traveled to Buckholts. The junior high team secured a win with a 27-20 final score. The varsity team won with a big victory of 53-0. Both teams will play in their final district game this Friday here in Cherokee against Calvert.
In other sports news, Lady Indians basketball begins this week! Our booster club is still searching for a concession stand coordinator for home basketball games. Currently we do not have one which means our concession stand will just have basic items available and will only be open if we have volunteers. Right now we need more volunteers to sign up to work shifts. Please consider helping especially if you have an athlete. Booster club helps pay for many of your athletes’ needs as well as food when they travel. Since this is a booster club fundraiser, all athletic parents are strongly encouraged to pitch in. Next week on November 11th, we will be honoring our veterans. If you are a veteran, you are invited to attend a lunch at 12:30 provided by NHS, followed by a Veterans’ Day program at 1:30. Please RSVP for lunch to Regina Randolph.
