On Tuesday, September 23rd, San Saba Elementary staff, students, and families celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a performance and dinner in the San Saba Elementary gym and cafeteria.
Edwiin Tovias and Anival Vasquez welcomed everyone to the performance, and Mrs. Fuller, SSES Music Teacher, led the children in singing and playing some folkloric dances and songs from Latin America.
Thank you to everyone who came together to make the evening a huge success!
The SSHS Dilloettes and SSHS Band gave wonderful performances! John Darin Barker, SSFBC Youth Minister, led us in prayer to bless the food at the start of our meal. The dinner was served in the SSES Cafeteria, where many families and businesses (Pepperbelly’s, Sonic, El Charro Mexican Restaurant, and Agave Jalisco) donated delicious foods, desserts, and everything needed to serve the feast!
Many wonderful families and teachers donated many things to contribute to the amazing dinner! Multiple people helped set up, serve, and clean up.
We appreciate the support in celebrating our 6th annual Hispanic La Familia Dinner at San Saba Elementary School. Every part of the evening was enjoyed by all!
