Come join us Friday, October 10th, at 4:30 p.m. for the annual San Saba GoldenArmadillo Band Booster (SSGABB) Fundraising Dinner. The event has been held for ~15 years, and we're excited about the prospect of nice weather and a great game with the Johnson City Eagles. Of note, we had to change the menu this year due to the rising cost of beef. Apologies to divert from tradition, but we think that you’ll enjoy what we are offering!
Location of the dinner is the backyard of the First Methodist San Saba Church, and the cost is $15 for adults and $10 for students and/or children 12 and under. We’ll serve until we’re out or approximately 6:15/6:30 p.m.
The menu is loaded chicken fajita potatoes. That includes a roughly 1 lb. potato, grilled chicken fajita meat, grilled onions and peppers, grated cheese, sour cream, butter, freshly baked cookies, and a drink selection of sodas/water/tea (ice donated by On the Rocks Liquor). Joe Pete Smith will be our grill master, so you know the meal will be tasty!
All proceeds from the fundraising dinner directly benefit San Saba band students. The funds provide for competition food and drinks, senior scholarships, band camps, props, and many other band needs. By you joining us for a meal, you are directly helping out community youth. This year's band is one of the largest ever, and we think they have a great chance at advancing to State!
SSGABB would like to give a big Aggie shout out to Stephen Owens (’93) and Lehne Construction, Inc. for sponsoring the event for the third year running. This sponsorship allows SSGABB to maximize the profit from the dinner, thus better serving our students. Lehne has proven to be a great community partner during their tenure at Chase Pecan, and we appreciate their consideration.
