The Richland Springs Coyotes moved to 2-1 Friday night with a 60-8 victory over Nueces Canyon.
Cohen Ethridge opened up the scoring with a 48-yard touchdown run on the opening drive. Billy Perry, Trendon Vogel, and Eli Hutchins followed with touchdowns on the ground from 3,13, and 1 yard out.
Through the air, Ethridge found Ethan Deeds on a 13 yard touchdown pass. Deeds would repay the favor with a 45-yard touchdown pass to Ethridge, and Perry delivered a 15-yard score to freshman Evan Deeds.
The Coyote Defense had another strong showing causwork ing four turnovers. Perry recovered 2 fumbles, and Layne Ward recovered 1. Rush Norris forced a fumble that Ethan Deeds returned 30 yards for a touchdown. Evan Deeds added an interception as well. Evan Deeds was 6-8 on extra points.
