Our homecoming game was this last week, and we had a great showing. It is always fun to see former students return to the stands. The Indians dominated on the field ending the game at halftime with a final score of 52-0 against Round Rock Christian Academy.
The homecoming court is as follows.
• Freshman duke and duchess were Morgan Palermo & Christopher Oakman.
• Sophomore duke and duchess were Taylor Randolph & Uriah Valdez.
• Junior duchess was Hannah Sims.
• Senior nominees were Lilian Anderson, Robert Bench, John Clark, Cayden Houston, Piper Meyer, Ruben Morgan, Tatum Shanklin, Tilar Turman, and Maxumus Williams.
Junior high and high school cross country teams will be running in Llano on the 24th, and our FFA fundraiser will begin soon too. Ordering will be open from September 29th – October 13th.
The first grading cycle ends this week. One down, 5 to go! Make sure your student is turning in all of their assignments and completing any corrections they might have. Be on the lookout for report cards the following week.
Our annual PTC sponsored Fall Festival is in the beginning planning stages. If you would like to help with this event, please contact Kari Owen at kowen@cherokeeisd.net. The Fall Festival is set for October 25th.
