Greetings, my San Saba friends! I said that as if I was a dachshund alien because quite frankly, this past week mom has made me feel like one! She is teaching me not to bark at cats! Um, doing so is quite the same as her trying to teach herself not to be weird; I wish her luck with that!
My new fenced area, or what I like to call 'my happy place,' has become just the wonderful sanctuary I'd hope it would be! Mom and I sat out there the other morning just before dawn drinking in the quiet beauty of San Saba with the occasional sound of chickens singing in the dawn, and all seemed right with the world. I looked up at the majestically lit courthouse and felt my heart light up too and then it happened…one of our morning meth heads came meandering down the street! Um, hey, my heart is huge, I hurt for anyone with problems. However, if public intoxication is an offense, and liquor is sold legally, shouldn't public out of your gourd on illegal substances in public not be allowed? Just asking?
Speaking of my happy place, I may be seeking legal advice and I don't mean from mom! I love that she sets up her canvas and paints out there while I enjoy my area, however, she bought a small CD player and plans to bring AC/DC and all that riffraff out there with her too! No! Just absolutely not! When she plays Thunderstruck, I literally feel as if I have been!! I wonder if I tell her the music is a danger to my safety she will listen to me? Yeah, the very vibrations of that music could bounce me over the fence and before you know it, I could be in the street with the cars!! Yeah, I better warn her!
Well, mom bought me some pre-unstuffed toys to take out in the yard to play with. They kind of look like medical experiments where students removed all the insides without disturbing a single hair on their body. What is strange, they make a crackling sound. I told mom…'hey, they sound like every bone in your body! Now even when you aren't in the room with me, it will kinda be like you are!'
I hope you have an amazing week, my adorable friends. To those children in school…learning is your ticket to a future. You are amazing, but you make your world amazing by expanding your knowledge of it!
Love, Lenny
