Lunchtime on Monday was very active for our First Responders in San Saba.
According to the Sheriff's Office, there was a single-vehicle rollover on Hwy 16 quite a bit south of Simpson Creek, almost to the pipeline.
There were two individuals in the vehicle. Sadly, one passed away on scene from injuries. The other individual was Careflighted out.
Hwy 16 was closed for approximately three hours while the First Responders worked the crash. There were multiple agencies assisting including: DPS, San Saba Police Department, Hamilton EMS, San Saba County Sheriff's Department, and San Saba Volunteer Fire Department.
TxDOT did not conduct road closure and had it down to one lane of controlled traffic.
DPS is conducting the crash investigation. More information will be passed along to our readers as it is available.
