Trash & Debris Removal:
Place your cleanout trash at the curb.
Please separate items into:
• Brush (limbs, leaves)
• Trash (damaged furniture, bags, etc.)
• White Goods (appliances like hot water heaters, stoves, fridges)
The City will collect these items.
DO NOT bring flood debris to city facilities. - Per TCEQ regulations, residents cannot deliver their own waste to the TCEQ-certified disposal site.
• City employees and designated trained volunteers only may access this site.
• If you're unable to leave trash curbside, haul it (tarped and secured, if it's NOT tarped - it will be CHARGED DOUBLE) to the Brownwood Landfill.
We understand this is inconvenient, but we must work within these strict environmental guidelines.
Report Your Damage:
Use the iSTAT tool to report flood-related damage to the Texas Division of Emergency Management:
This allows the County and State to assess needs and determine eligibility for financial assistance.
If you're unable to self-report, trained first responders are canvassing neighborhoods to help you submit your report.
FRAUD ALERT – FEMA TEXT SCAM
We have received reports of individuals receiving text messages claiming to be from FEMA.
This is a scam.
FEMA does NOT text individuals to initiate contact or request personal information or bank information through text.
As of now, FEMA is NOT in our area for flood response.
Please report suspicious activity and do not click any links or provide personal info to unknown numbers.
We’re proud of the way San Saba County comes together in tough times. Let’s keep supporting one another with facts, kindness, and caution.
