    San Saba Elementary School kindergartners had the pleasure of taking a field trip to Millican Pecan Company.

    Students were kindly greeted by Kristen Millican and her wonderful crew. From the lobby, students were escorted to piemaking stations where Kristin modeled the process for the students. The kindergartners rolled their own pie crust, mixed the ingredients for the filling, and then added the best part... pecans! Once the pies were in the oven, the wonderful smell filled the kitchen while students listened to Kristin read her children's book about pecan harvesting with her family. Stu-dents left Millican Pecan with a memorable experience along with their very own pecan pie to take home!
