If you drive down Hwy 190 in Cherokee, you have seen the changes taking place at Cherokee Home for Children.
There was a lot of digging happening, and then - there was a huge hole in the ground. People were wondering what it was going to be? A new building? Some thought it was a new swimming pool!
We want everyone to know the great news. Here is some information from their Facebook page:
February 19, 2025
That big hole is the start of the foundation for our new Transitional Living Center! The builders are having to dig down several feet to reach caliche, which is more solid soil. They will fill the hole with more caliche to provide a stable foundation for the building to begin. We love the questions and encouragement!
