These awesome San Saba Community Groups: San Saba Garden Club, SS Bird & Nature Club, Keep San Saba Beautiful, Clearview Resources Center, City of SS Parks Department and Water Department, and SS Rehab Center got together to do their part in beginning the designated “City of San Saba/Keep Texas Beautiful Cleanup” for this week of Spring 2025. The Pollinator/Native Plant Gardens at the San Saba Elementary School, the historic San Saba Garden Club Building grounds, the Clearview Family Resources Center patio garden, and the San Saba Rehabilitation Facility Keyhole Garden were spruced up by weeding, pruning, raking, and preparing for new growth and new plantings. Approximately 14 ladies volunteered. Amid the hard work and sweat, a lot of fellowship was enjoyed!
Dianna Furlan, Marjean Alexander, Jan Vanderburg, Rhonda Killion, Jan Beaver, Sarah Lott, Susie Kissko, Juanita Proffitt, Donna McKinney, Cissy Williams, Marcie Butler, Jimma Byrd, Tina Gunter, and Debbie Shahan were volunteers representing civic organizations above. Brenda Riggs brought us water, Buddy Whitley and Kolby Reavis brought us plants, Janie at SS Rehab assisted in watering, and SS City guys had earlier put in a water spigot for watering at Clearview.
