Our history-making Lady Dillos showed so much dedication and persistence, it won them a spot in the State Championship Game!

How has this team affected you?
This year’s team had an interesting dynamic of experience and youth. It was amazing to see the seniors lead our young players and see the Freshman step into roles that they probably never thought they would be in. I think that gave me a lot of joy seeing it all come together as one unit striving for one goal. Personally, it will be a group I’ll always look back on as a team that did what they set out to do. I’m blessed that I had the opportunity to be a part of it.
What are your plans going forward at all levels:
As an amazing season as it was, we have to turn the page and begin the process of improvement. At all levels, shooting and offensive playmaking will be at the forefront of our offseason development. We will need a much better commitment level across the board in the spring/summer to keep having deep playoff success.
What are some of your favorite moments?
- Mason game at home: it was fun to see all of our kids draining threes.
- Olivia’s half court three pointer in the state semi-final game.
- Winning the Salado Tournament was a huge point in the season where I felt we grew together as a team.
- Practice: I just love being with them in practice and being appreciative of how they work every day.
- Last but not least: seeing the shine in our kids’ eyes when they were about to get ready to take the floor at the Alamodome and being able to watch them compete at the highest level we could go.
