The Lady Dillos showcased their expertise in the Armadillo Arena last Tuesday night, securing an 80-53 victory over the Mason Cowgirls in their district opener. The team’s outstanding performance included a combined 14 three-pointers.
Coach Gray, who is in this second year as head coach for the Lady Dillos, commended the teams focus and attributed their success to the experience gained from the Salado tournament. Coach Gray indicated that meeting pre-tournament goals was instrumental in achieving last nights win. He is confident about the teams' prospects for the remainder of the season.
At the time this article is released, the Lady Dillos will have had a much-needed break with a bye game Friday and will have traveled north of the Colorado for a match up against long-time rivals the Goldthwaite Lady Eagles in a Battle of the River - Basketball Edition. This Friday, December 20th, for the first time this year, you can catch both your Lady Dillos and Armadillos in action in one night at home as they welcome the Eagles of Johnson City.
