After the students completed the novel study over The BFG, they were asked to make a diorama by recreating the setting from their favorite chapter in the book. Once the projects were submitted, each homeroom was asked to sequence the dioramas, placing them in the order in which they occurred. The classes had to display a great deal of Teamwork, one of the themes of the novel, in order to accomplish this task. The class who could complete this task in the shortest amount of time received their very own “Dream” jar.
Mrs. Jost’s homeroom was titled the winner of this challenge activity.
