“Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me”
By: Jonny Robinson, Rich Thompson, Michael Farren (2018)
To this I hold my sin has been defeated
Jesus now and ever is my plea
Oh the chains are released I can sing I am free
Yet not I but through Christ in me
We have been made right with God, we have been adopted into God’s family, we are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, we live day to day for His glory, serving Him… and all of it is because of Christ. It’s not through our own strength. And one day when we stand before God, He will look at us, and see the righteousness of Christ covering us with purity, and we will be welcomed into His eternal presence!
Galatians 2:20 (Christian Standard Bible)
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
