Lady Coyotes qualify for state, make school history

    The Richland Springs Lady Coyotes cross country team competed in the Regional meet on Tuesday, October 22nd. The meet was held at Dugan Stadium in Corpus Christi. Rylie Eckert is the Region 4 individual Champion qualifying her for state as an individual as well as part of the team, as they finished in second place overall.

    The team consists of Rylie Eckert, Raegan Eckert, Kinzley Daly, Mallory Okerson, Emma Bryant and Paige Bailey. These Lady Coyotes made history as the first girls cross country team from Richland Springs to qualify for State. This group has put in hours of hard work and sacrifice to not only make it to state but to make school history as well. It is an achievement they will never forget. Coach Eckert and I are proud to be able to coach and be a part of this team.

    The State meet will be held in Round Rock on November 2nd, at Old Settlers Park; 1A runs at 8:15.
