They are currently staffed with one full-time and one part-time employee.
The Dove Project was established in 1996 by the City of San Saba to address family violence.
Their main focus is on assisting battered women but they also work in conjunction with ClearView Family Resources whose focus is children. In 2023, 75 victims received services, the majority in San Saba County. In 2024, 40 victims received services covering ages from 15 to 88 years old. Someone becomes a victim when they are trying to leave a dangerous situation. This 501C3 operates on donations and grants.
Rotary President Marcus Wood presented a $1,000 donation to this valuable organization.
Our next meeting will be Thursday, October 24th, at Pepperbelly’s beginning at noon. Visitors are welcome.
