Last week, the varsity Cherokee Indians picked up a game against Arlington Heights Faith Academy, a team that traveled all the way from Corpus Christi! The Indians played hard and were able to defeat the opposing team at the half with a score of 46-0. We will have a double header this Friday. Junior high will play at 5, and high school will play at 7 against Pawnee.
Saturday is our annual PTC sponsored Fall Festival. Costume contest registration will begin at 4:45 and conclude around 5, so don’t be late if you want to be considered! All other activities will commence at 5. We will have games, activities, a meal, and our famous silent auction! Please come take a look at our silent auction baskets. You may find something perfect for you. They are going to be great! Remember all proceeds go to PTC. PTC uses that money to directly benefit the school and community. They host community events such as the Fourth of July celebration, give teachers money to spend in their classrooms, provide field trip tee shirts to elementary students, help with costs of field trips, provide us with our football concession stand, and so much more. Red Ribbon week is next week. During the week students will learn about how to be drug free! The theme this year is: Life is a Movie. Film Drug Free. The dress up days are as follows: Monday - Drugs are not marvelous. Dress like a Marvel hero.
Tuesday - Inside Out Movie: Wear your clothes inside out or wear an emotion color.
Wednesday - Indians have good character. Dress like your favorite movie star.
Thursday - Rad and Drug Free: Dress in 80s neon for the black out pep rally!
