Receipts totaled 3,005 head. The stocker steers sold $4-$8 higher, and the stocker heifers were $3-$4 higher. The feeder steers were steady with 6 steers 668 lbs at $242.00 ($1616.50) and 6 steers 852 lbs at $225.00 ($1917.00). Packer cows were steady with the top cow at $137.00, and packer bulls were steady with the high bull at 1980 lbs $164.00 ($3247.20). The Knox Brothers 22 Angus bulls avg $6386 with the top bull at $8250 and the 19 Hereford bulls avg $4361 with the high bull at $6750. Pairs and bred cows were steady on a very active market. The Hill Country Youth Commercial Heifer Sale on Wednesday was very active with 509 heifers offered. The bigger longer aged medium, to long bred heifers brought from $2250 up to $4200. The short bred heifers, bred heifers carrying less flesh and open heifers ranged from $1500 up to $2225.
