Our junior high Indians football team did not have a game this week, but our varsity team traveled to Marble Falls to take on Marble Falls Faith Academy. In a hard fought neck and neck game, the Indians finished victoriously with a score of 99-93.
The district cross country meet was held last week. Our Lady Indians will advance to Regionals. Weston Woolsey also qualified. Regionals will be Tuesday, October 22nd, in Corpus Christi. Good luck to our runners!
Coming up on November 11th, we will have a breakfast honoring veterans at 8 a.m. This is sponsored by National Honor Society. Following the breakfast, there will be a Veteran’s Day program at 9 a.m. in the new gym. All veterans are invited and encouraged to attend.
Our PTC sponsored Fall Festival is coming up on October 26th. Costume contest registration will be from 4:45-5:00 p.m. with games and activities beginning at 5:00 p.m. There will also be a meal available for purchase and a silent auction. You do not have to be present to win! If you want to bid, you can place bids with someone you know and we will settle with you later. After the festival, there will be trunk or treating available near the gym and trick or treating in town. All money raised goes directly to PTC. PTC does so much for our school! They give staff members money to spend in their classrooms; they offer grants to teachers for big projects and ideas; they pay for field trips, tee shirts; and so much more.
