26th Annual Stars and Stripes Country Fair Bonanza competition

Richland Springs, Texas Friday, July 5, 2024

The competition is open to all who are interested from Richland Springs and surrounding communities.

Your entry fee is your donation of two identical items: two jars jellies, two pies. Contestants may enter more than one category.

Entries need to be brought to the First Baptist Church Basement on Friday, July 5th, between 5:00 and 6:30 p.m.

After entries are submitted, contestants will be asked to leave at 6:30 p.m., and awards/winners will be announced Saturday morning, July 6th, at the parade.

Entries will be assigned numbers upon submission in order to maintain anonymity of contestants from judges.

Prizes will be given for 1st through 3rd places.

Champions will be live auctioned during the catfish dinner at approximately 6 p.m.

The unsampled baked items that do not make the auction will be used for desserts at the catfish dinner. Unsampled canned items will be available at the fish fry for purchase.

Judges decisions will be final. Items will be judged on appearance, proper preparation techniques, and taste.

Any situation that arises that is not covered by these general rules will be decided by an executive committee.

Baking:

Cakes Pies Breads Cookies/ Brownies/Cupcakes 

Canning:

Salsa /Hot Sauce Jams /Jellies
