Richland Springs Preservation Society

Changes continue to happen for the Richland Springs Preservation Society. The last meeting brought about both good and unwelcome news. Chrissy Baker and Sue Ransom reported back to the board and people attending concerning their meeting with the Catkins committee. The representatives were clear in their desire to assist, if possible, but we need to have a plan. The Catkins are interested in improving communities surrounding San Saba to draw business to our area. They encouraged us to expand our goals. The priority was to have or find an engineering plan for the building.

Jason Lewis decided to devote more time to his home projects and stepped down from the president’s position. Sue Ransom was voted in to the position. A new reporter will have to be chosen at the next meeting. With the challenge from the Catkins, comes a responsibility to act and accomplish specific goals. This will require diligence and commitment on the part of our members. If you have a passion to accomplish the restoration goal, your help is needed.

The next meeting will be July 16th, at 6:30 p.m., in the Community Center Building. Several members have stepped up to be on the museum committee and the correspondence committee. If you have some time, there is work to do. Happy Fourth of July. See you on July 16th.
