The San Saba homeschoolers and a great group of kids from Rochelle enjoyed an educational morning at the Spiral Horn Apiary learning about the life of the bees. The very knowledgeable Hedley family discussed the life cycle of the bee, the process for acquiring the honey, and the many products that can be made with the bees’ wax. They also have some great teas! A big hit was the glass bee hive, where one could really see the bees in action. If you are interested in the Apiary’s products they are available locally at the Mercantile by the traffic light and G&R Grocery on the square. A big thanks to the Spiral Hone Apiary for an enjoyable morning!
