High Valley Cemetery Association Annual Meeting will take place Sunday, February 18th, at 2 p.m. at High Valley Baptist Church located off FM 501, west of Bend, Texas. This is an important meeting! Special Speaker at Rylander Library! Mike Millican, author of “Down the Road and Around the Bend” will speak at the Friends of the Rylander Library annual membership meeting on Monday, February 19th. The meeting will be held at the library beginning at 2:00p.m. Rylander Library is located at 103 S Live Oak St, San Saba, TX 76877. 325-372-3079
Early Voting starts next Tues., February 20th, and goes through Fri., March 1st, at the County Court House 8 a.m. – Noon / 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. However, the last week of early voting will have extended hours: Mon.-Thurs. open until 7 p.m.; Sat. 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Sun. 12 noon – 4 p.m. PLEASE NOTE: the extended hours are ONLY for early voting. The County/District Clerk’s Office will not be available for other services during these extended hours.
Wallace Creek Cemetery Yearly Meeting will be held at the Wallace Creek School House on February 20th, at 5:30 p.m.
Baseball and T-ball registration is now open for kids ages 4-14. The deadline is February 29th, and registration is online only. Please visit www.ssyshub.com to register. For more information, contact Michael Brand, 325-205-2336.
Town Hall Meeting will be held March 4th at the San Saba Civic Center located at 1190 S Thomas Stewart Dr, San Saba, TX 76877 (behind Mill Pond Park). The meeting is at 6 p.m. and will have very important information for everyone - - citizens, business owners, everyone! There will be a guest speaker who was there in Wyoming during the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse.
Election day will be held March 5th. This election, there will be a 4th voting precinct in San Saba County. See information in next week’s edition!
